Remember when he used to commentate on Eurosport’s F1 coverage? He should be in line for a position with the BBC next year, alongside the fantastic Martin Brundle, and perhaps James Allen… He hasn’t been that bad…
And what about Richard Hammond as presenter ala Steve Ryder?… coz I don’t see him going back to the Beeb again. Either would be good, anyones better than bloody Jim Rosenthal!!
Ben Edwards would be fine by default – he’s not great, but he’s probably the best available. I think the beeb will bring back Steve Ryder. The only reason he left in the first place was that he got the chance to do what he’d always wanted to with ITV. he loves F1 and he’s easily the best man for the job.
Just keep Richard Hammond off my screen, he doesn’t have what it takes to present a tv programme with a wider audience than lads and ladettes.
