I have a fractured spine (in five places!!!) so I am only able to do very few hours at work and am struggling to make ends meet – especially with Christmas coming up. I have taken to doing surveys online but the money I get is slow and minimal. Also I tried to sell a few things on Ebay, but don’t have much to sell. Any success stories or tips anyone cares to share?! Any help would be brilliant. Thankyou!

You could make a lot of small projects and things on the computer and sell on amazon, etsy or ebay and maybe even take some to consignment stores. You could basically make up a bunch of stuff and start up a homemade gift business. Ideas for things to make:
Gift baskets (but you’d need to buy the supplies from some where or have someone pick them up for you)
Photo gifts (calendars, slide shows etc)
Small crochet projects: earrings, coasters, placemats, dishcloths, potholders, baby booties, baby bibs
Cross stitch projects: sippy cups, mugs, ornaments, bookmarks, coasters, sets of flour sack towels with patterns iron on
I’m pretty creative… but I need a good plan and something easy to start that doesn’t make too much money. maybe like 20 bucks a pop… not sure if I should do a painting and have it printed like at kinko’s or what… I have done paintings but how would they scan them to print? LOL– I really just wanna have something easy like that. Thanks
Paintings are art and only a few people are interested. Pick something that more people would want to buy.
I make cat toys for a lady on the west coast. She buys them at $2 each, pays for the shipping, and I’ve made enough to do my car payments each month with her.
You need a product that sells, not something ‘easy’. Everyone on the face of the earth wants ‘easy’ and it never makes anyone any money. If you want a business, you look for an item you can make that has a demand, if nobody wants it you can’t sell it.
With cat toys I buy a yard of fabric, a bag of stuffing, pick my own fresh catnip locally, and can make 69 mice out of each yard. It’s a nice return, good profit with a low cash outlay.

I’m sure that there are legit ways in order to make actually cash from home, but what are they? If anyone could help me out with this that would be great.

I don’t know your skills, other then acting sleazy. Start a business of your own, employ yourself.
My thing is vintage and pro musical instruments. I’ve become very good at knowing the value of such things. I like to buy musical instruments off of ebay that are poorly described/photographed but have good profit potential. Of course, just like one of your answerers, I use very good photography and excellent descriptions. I’ve also learned how to do minor repairs so I can buy an unplayable clarinet or sax, and make it playable often with very little time invested.
I also hang out and antique and collectables stores, this is an education for me so that i get a really good feel for how much people will pay for stuff I find at yard sales. It’s been fun. Nowadays, I rarely sell anything on ebay. I have other people (TRUSTWORTH people) that do that for me and we split the profits. Not bad, eh?
